Triangles

In order to get this picture, I had to hang off a fishing boat and aim my camera under the dock, where the partially submerged pilings, combined with their reflections, formed two perfect triangles. But that isn't why I took the picture -- or perhaps I should say that isn't when I took the picture.

This is how it works: once I experienced the triangles, I held them in abeyance (in my mind) by suspending them in peripheral vision on my left; so while I was still aware of them, my seeing eye was no longer focused on the triangles. I kept them there, as I watched the water move in a circular motion between the pilings. When I felt myself become one with the centrifugal force, I took the picture.
