Ravel in Pink

One night, as I was sorting through my Venice pictures with Ravel playing in the background, I suddenly noticed that the picture I was looking at sounded, at that moment, exactly like the music looked. It was  uncanny and intensely pleasurable to experience  synesthesia in both directions at the same time. I was curious to see if I could match other images to the other parts of the music, and when I  found that I could, I made this little video called "Ravel in Pink." I was interested to later learn that the composer Ravel had the same kind of bi-directional synesthesia  I have.
